Parents + Guardians

There are many ways that parents, guardians, and adults can get involved with 3003 Battle River Army Cadets.
Please make sure to join the Cadet/Parent private Facebook group for updates, news and discussion.  This group is moderated and requires approval to join.
The SSC/Parent meeting is held monthly on the last Thursday  of the month during regular practice for the cadets.

  Joining the 3003 Sponsoring Committee

3003 Sponsoring Committee is a group of parents and guardians who support the corps in a number of ways.
  1. recruiting new cadets
  2. fundraising and managing the finances of the corps
  3. screening prospective volunteers
  4. providing snacks or meals for cadet functions

We encourage all parents to speak with a Board member to see how you may become involved. You can find one of us at beginning and end of parade nights, or contact us at  parents@3003armycadets.ca

We always need parent volunteers!

Becoming a Volunteer or Civilian Instructor (CI)

Volunteers and CIs directly supervise and instruct cadets.  The PSC is responsible for signing up volunteers with the corps.  Becoming a volunteer may lead to a paid position as a CI.

Joining the Cadet Instructor Cadre (CIC)

Many former cadets, parents, and volunteers choose to join the Canadian Forces as a CIC officer.  CIC officers are employees of the Department of National Defence.  Joining the CIC can be a lengthy process, as all processing goes through the Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre.  For more information on the CIC, talk to the CO.
